Sally Hansen Insta-Dri ~ Blue Away

A pastel baby blue creme.

Two coats Orly Nail Armor
Two coats Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Away
One coat INM Out The Door

Sorry for the poor clean-up.  The brush made this manicure really difficult to keep clean.

More pictures and the review after the jump!

The formula on this polish was very impressive.  It was a one coater, but I was I little hasty in my application, which left a couple of bald spots on my index finger.  I was astonished that this pastel covered so well.  The polish self-leveled very well, which prevented any streaks.  The drying time is well above average, making this polish excellent for quickie manicures.

The brush in this line of polish is downright difficult to manage.  It is very wide and long and barely even fits through the neck of the bottle.  The brush itself is actually wider than my pinkie nail.  The brush is great for painting toe nails and thumb nails, but for any other fingers, it is really difficult to use.

Overall, I would recommend this polish simply for it's excellent formula.  If you have small nail beds like I do, though,  I would recommend decanting this polish into a different bottle with a better brush, or simply using a paint brush instead of the brush provided.  I love this polish and will be using it again - only with a different brush.

  1. Such a pretty color! I don't understand the ginormous mongoloid brushes!! I finally got used to the wider essence brushes, but it's *just* as wide as my pinky. Any wider and it would be a problem. :/
